I missed it

I missed the Cloth Diaper Crowd's "garage sale". I am really bummed. I meant to go, I put it on my calendar, then the day came and went. Stupid calendar.

Really, what I wanted to do was see what was what. They have these fancy, just like disposables but you wash them, all in ones. Also, there are variations in between that and folded cloth squares. I just wanted to see and then maybe get some cheap diapers too. But, alas, I missed it.

Well, 4 more months to check it out!

  1. Have you heard or read about EC (elimination communication?) I never heard of it until both my kids were out of diapers but I wished I'd heard of it sooner. I do remember reading about some tribe, in Concept Continuum, who basically practiced EC - I was awed about the close connection the parents must've had with their tiny babies to pull it off.

  2. You can always swing by Sarah's or I have just about one of each style, as well. Its too bad you weren't there- I watched for ya. There were A LOT of cute girly diapers. You can still hit next year's and get your bigger sizes then. The prices were definitely right! You shoudl still go to next month's meeting-Sarah brings samples and can explain this that or the other. We should be there;) Glad to hear things are going so well!

  3. Z- I intend to EC. We did early training with Lil'Bug. She was using the toilet at 9 months, though I still had her in diapers until about 18 months because of my own doubts and worries.

A- Sarah is very busy right now. I hope to do a diaper registry right after the March meeting. I'd love to see the styles though.

  4. oh, now that I've got my office back to normal, I'm still really busy, but always happy to have people over.

The garage sale meeting is always chaos anyway. Next month will be calmer and a better opportunity to see what's what.

We did EC with Wally and I still lead our local EC group, though we don't meet regularly any more. We have a Yahoo group and I'm always available to help with questions. We had W in dipes pretty much full time, even while doing EC, until 4 or 6 months, and then in dipes part time (when away from home) until he was reliably dry (before 1 year).
