Was curious did you get a macro lens? (i think that's what its called) or is this just with your camera? I can't get pics that good that close with mine :( So a lot out our neat little bugs go undocumented.
We have them year round here in Iowa. Seriously. They invade our homes during the winter months! This was the first one I'd seen OUTSIDE since last October. LOL
We bought a box of them last year too (and the year before that?) and that made our neighbors think we caused the problem.....except that the infestation was statewide! No way was that our fault.
Here's the thing- our eat the aphids herded by the evil ants (no, not all ants are evil, but ours are) so they have plenty of food. When we release the ladies we get less ants in our house and garden.

ReplyDeleteNope! Just with my awesomest camera. I really want a macro lens though......
ReplyDeleteCouple things, I have it set on the highest pixlation (is that a word?) and then photoshoped it to define the "sharpness".
Oh, and also the original picture had much more of the brick pile. I cropped down to just the ladybug before sharpening and enhancing exposure.
ReplyDeleteBless you for taking pity on those of us still semi-frozen. That is the first lady bug I've seen in at least 9 months!!!!

ReplyDeleteBetter than other buggers, knock on wood!
This is so sad. I actually bought them by the hundreds last year, released them and still never see any. They must have all headed for Iowa!
