New Process

I thought I'd preview the new process I've been using for painting. It is both new in medium and new in the way that I approach creating. Here is a picture of one, yes only one, of the boards that I started last month. I am using Gouache and Watercolor Pencils.

  1. Very nice, Mama P! Very nice. And such an inspiration for me. I do appreciate that you are posting your art efforts. I need to get in gear again and get down in my studio and get moving.
Glad to hear you are back in the light- I was starting to worry about you!

  2. Wow lady--I didn't know you were an artist. That is really great.

  3. Thank you for all the nice comments! I didn't know I still had it in me, but do think it was linked to a brain spurt and the troubles lately. I really needed this to just sit down on concentrate on color and fine motor skill. The hardest part about this medium is that I have to use a brush, a stiff and tiny wet brush.

The canvas board is only 8x11 btw. The iris one in my header bar is 18x24. I usually paint big and fast, but this is an exercise in process. :)
